Smith Brothers Stores Leicester

Smith Brothers Stores Leicester is the historic birthplace of the entire group, with the original operation first established in Victorian Leicester in 1897. Today, the business operates from its modern trade branch within the Freemen’s Common Industrial Estate, trading from an expansive 26,000+ sq ft facility that serves as a major regional hub for HVAC, mechanical building services, and commercial pipework distribution across the Midlands.

Strategically positioned with excellent access to the M1, M69, and surrounding arterial transport routes, the Leicester depot enables fast and efficient distribution throughout Leicestershire and the wider region. Its location supports rapid trade-counter collection and dependable direct-to-site deliveries, helping contractors maintain momentum on commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects.

Combining extensive commercial stockholding with experienced trade support, SBS Leicester is built to meet the demands of both large-scale project work and day-to-day operational supply. With a strong focus on reliability, product availability, and responsive customer service, the branch continues to play a central role within the company’s nationwide distribution network more than a century after its original foundation.
